The difference between the preview and the original
Every image pin exists on Pinterest’s CDN in a ladder of sizes. The feed uses the narrow
ones so the grid loads fast; the detail page uses a mid-size copy. The full upload sits behind
an /originals/ path that the interface never links to directly.
That is why a right-click save so often produces a 736 pixel image when the creator uploaded something four times larger. This tool reads the size ladder from the pin record and offers you the top rung, and checks that the file really exists on the CDN before putting a button in front of you.
Good uses for a saved pin
Mood boards and design references, print-quality inspiration for a renovation or a tattoo brief, a wallpaper for your own phone, colour palettes pulled out of a photograph, or an offline archive of your own uploads before you delete a board. All of that is what a downloader is for.

Why is right-click "Save image as" lower quality?
Pinterest serves scaled previews in the feed, commonly 236, 474 or 736 pixels wide, and that preview is what your browser has in memory. Right-clicking saves the preview. This tool requests the original instead.
What file format do I get?
Whatever the creator uploaded, normally JPG for photographs and PNG for graphics with transparency. Animated uploads keep their GIF container. We never convert between formats.
Can I download all images from a Pinterest board at once?
Not from a board URL. Pinterest paginates boards behind its own API, so this tool works one pin at a time. Open the individual pin, copy its link, and download it.
Do downloaded images keep their EXIF data?
The file is passed through untouched, so whatever metadata Pinterest stored is what you receive. Pinterest itself strips most camera EXIF on upload, so do not expect the original shooting data to survive.
Can I use a downloaded pin on my own website?
Only if you own it or have permission. Most pins are someone else’s photography, illustration or product shot, and reposting without a licence is a copyright problem regardless of how the file was obtained.
